About Us

We are a support group designed just for you, the at-home mother! You are interested in a variety of activities for you and your children, and are proud of your choice of at-home mothering for your families! We know, because we're at-home mothers, too!

You need a support group that understands your special needs as an at-home mother and we're it! We are the first, largest and fastest growing support group specifically for ALL at-home mothers.

The MOMS Club of Frederick – East was started in May 1994 and has seen many changes over the years. Currently we serve families whose children are zoned in North Frederick ES, Lincoln ES, Parkway ES, Ballenger Creek ES, Deer Crossing ES, Oakdale ES, Spring Ridge ES, and Centreville ES (Holly Hills subdivision Only). Families who live in these zones and home-school are welcome.

If you do not live within our chapter's boundaries, please visit the International MOMS Club website at momsclub.org to find a chapter near your area, or contact International MOMS Club by emailing them at support@momsclub.org.

Our Principles

  • For women who choose it, raising children is an important and fulfilling full time job.

  •   A family’s decision for a mother to stay home to raise the children often involves considerable financial sacrifice.

  • There is no one right way to raise children, but the major reason for the members to come together is their desire to seek out mothers with common concerns for raising their children in the best possible and most healthful way.

  • Children are a community’s greatest resource and that a community’s concern for its children is marked by quality of its schools.

Interest Groups

  • Playgroups for Babies, Toddlers and Preschoolers

  • Activity Groups including Cooking Club, Craft for Kids, Coffee Club, Music Group, and Alphabet Express.

  •  Field Trips and Park Days Monthly trips to various local attractions and parks.

  • Helping Hands

  • Moms providing help to members who’ve had new babies or to members who are having family emergencies

  • Holiday/Seasonal Parties Age appropriate, themed parties

  • Sanity Tea/Coffee Club Afternoon group for mothers whose husbands work late or are out of town

  • Moms Night Out/In. A monthly event just for Moms to enjoy some adult time at a local restaurant, movie or another moms home.

Service Projects

We do a variety of charity projects pertaining to mothers and children. These have included cards for kids in the hospitals, hygiene bags for the women and children’s shelter, filling backpacks with school supplies for local school children, donating socks, underwear, scarves, gloves, hats and coats to local schools, putting together activity kits for young patients at Frederick Memorial Hospital, and many more.

We are required to perform service projects by our national organization. Our members are encouraged to volunteer ideas for future projects.
